About the School

The Cremona School of Dance (est. 1990) is based in Woking with branches in Horsell and Mayford.

  • Classes for children 3 yrs - 18 yrs are held in Ballet (Cecchetti method) ISTD Modern & Tap
  • Children are trained to a high standard through a carefully structured programme in one or more subjects.
  • Most ballet classes are accompanied by a pianist
  • Classes are kept to a minimum size to ensure maximum individual attention and guidance.
  • The ever-popular Pre-Primary classes for 3 and 4 year olds are packed with creative ideas, nursery rhymes, mime, fun and laughter.  These 1/2 hour classes are specifically designed for the younger child preparing her/him for a more structured approach later on at 5 yrs+ in one or more dance disciplines
  • Talented students are presented at auditions such as the Cecchetti Associate programme, the Royal Ballet School, London Junior Ballet and various competitions such as London Mabel Ryan Awards and the Cecchetti Southern Area Awards.
  • Examinations are held annually.  These can be taken at 5 yrs +, and are optional.
  • Workshops are usually held during half-term.  These enable students to work with other teachers from a variety of backgrounds, and gain experience in different forms of dance and repertoire.

Classes run for 10 weeks during term time.
